Question youtube links to some great 70's and 80's funk licks

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm a singer/bass player in an 80's band, and I love it, but sometimes I feel like I just can't deliver the funk on some of the dance numbers.

I have recently upgraded my bass rig (cab, tubes, bass), and I have finally achieved the tone I've heard in my head for years.

Now that I don't completely freakin' hate my tone, I feel inspired to work on my technique in earnest.

How 'bout some youtube links to some really nice bass lessons?
Slap, funk, double stops and fancy chording are the order of the day...

Here's one of me slapping my '08' MIA Fender Jazz V. I don't know if this helps, but there's some stuff you might be able to learn from.

This guy is the bass hero of youtube. Effortless funk on some of the most challenging material of the 70's.
