YYZ on double bass

Sign in to disble this ad
I know this is the bass guitar forum but I know this piece is often played on electric and I thought you my be interested to see how it translates to double bass.

I hope it is easier on BG because it was extremely challenging on DB

Oops, here's the link. The sound isn't that great as it's just the mic on the Hi-8 camera.

Ha ha that is excellent...in a church no less. Actually can't hurt to ask..can you do it again and get someone to re-record it?

Hell yeah!

I usually get pissy when people go there with certain music, especially RUSH. If you're gonna do it though, this is the way.

Fantastic performance and arrangement, kudos all the way around ...... and arco!!!

Rock on!

Very cool. I wonder what the older patrons thought after mass was over?

I thought the YYZ segments sounded a little gimmicky, but
La Villa Strangiato translated extremely well to this format.

And you bowed almost the whole thing!
Didn't see that coming.

How much are the other guys actually aware of Rush and the original versions?
Or was this just something someone scored and was read down?

Performance was excellent.
