Any fans here?

They are tagged as "Downtempo" or "Chillout"... a short step from the Acid Jazz stuff I dig so much, but not much the same either.

Anyway, I've been listening to a lot of Zero 7 lately

Here is a sample

(first I heard of them.. from the "Garden State" soundtrack)

Yup. Been diggin Zero 7 for about 7 years. It really has great staying power in my ipod, unlike some electronica that is cool at first but not long-term (Oakenfeld, Chemical Brothers).

Yup, I love zero 7...

In the same vein check out Sound Tribe Sector 9 and Thievery Corporation (both a little more "worldy" than zero 7).

I'm currently listening to some STS9, Thievery Corp and Groove Armada mixed up with the Zero 7 stuff

Thievery Corp was also on the 'Garden State' sound track with this tune.

I like the newest disc... 'Versions'

I was turned on to STS9 by a TBer a few years back...

Groove Armada I discovered at about the same time
