They've locked down the campus as a precaution (overabundance of caution considering how much flack the administrators caught over their response to the 4/16 tragedy). There has not been a shooting reported (that she's heard about anyway), nor has anyone actually seen a gun. Three youths at a camp saw a guy walking briskly with something covered in his hand. Definitely sounds suspicious, but I hope it's just the overactive imagination of a few young'ns!

Yeah, I'm hoping it's a false alarm and just turns out to be a good test of the new response system. Certainly don't want to make light of it otherwise...

A police officer has been shot, and there's one other potential victim. The suspect is still at large.
What is UP with this nonsense?!? We're locked down here at the North Main store, and Zack is taking similar precautions downtown.
Hopefully this all clears up soon... and we obviously hope and pray for the victim(s). Let's hope they're not seriously injured. |

They've got the elementary school locked down. Nobody can get in or out, so it'll be interesting to see how that all winds up since school is set to let out in just over an hour. |

I certainly hope that they catch the shooter quickly and prevent any more tragedy. I'm sure that folks will certainly be anxious until the shooter is caught or taken down.

Most of the time these people that do such stupid things take the cowards way out. Saddest part is the person has frightened a bunch of kids, not to mention the entire community over something stupid.
