First up was a price increase due to the ever increasing cost of neodymium. Second up was the obsolescence of the HS line (AE sales have greatly outpaced HS sales for some time). And, sadly, the HT112ER cab is going obsolete because the tweeter manufacturer has stopped making the tweeter used in that cab, and it's taking the EX112ER cab with it. Lastly, the AE-210 is going vertical for 2011!
So once existing stock on the HT and HS lines runs out, we'll be left with only the AE and NV lines. I still have stock on the HS and HT lines, so please get it while you can! Jim B. has left those at the 2010 prices to help move the remaining stock.
I've updated all of the Bergantino prices on my site. The HT and HS prices remain at the 2010 level, and they'll be up on my site until they sell.
Cheers!

The stock at Jim's shop was getting really low (single digits) on both of these cabs as of 2 days ago. If you're thinking about one... I wouldn't wait too long! |

I have two - but would've gone EX if I didn't suffer from instantania gratificus. These things sound incredible at low volumes (one trio leader I work with constantly raves at the tone during verrrrry quiet first sets) but only get better as you turn the knob to the right. Run two together and you'll be amazed at the output and the sound quality. The low end is just ridiculous, but it's never boomy. And the highs? It's a crime that these tweeters will no longer be made. |

I do still have one EX112ER. Get it while it's hot! There are no more of these to be had from the Berg shop, either! |

| | Well, Ahoy Paloi | | Join Date: Sep 2009 Location: Cape Cod, MA | | | Thanks for the update bud. Quick question: I have the SL 900 (from Mr. Bump), and for small gigs I have the HT112ER (also Senior Bump), If I were to get a Berg 4X10 cab how am I looking in terms of ohms. I believe the HT112ER is 8 ohms, and the Berg HS410 is 4 ohms. To use both for a large gig, am I ok with the impedance? I know the SL 900 runs the speaker outputs in parallel mode, righ? At the office at the moment and can't check.
I gets confused a askared with all that elecktroix stuffs..... Doh!.....(picture me drooling).
Thanks Greg and who knows, I may hit you up for that 4X10 cab soon (just don't tell Shauna!)...... |

8 and 4 in parallel is (8x4)/(8+4) = 2.67 ohms. That's not good on a amp that specs a 4 ohm minimum load...
That said, a single 410 should be plenty of oomph for bar/club sort of gigs. So maybe it's an either/or thing? Or 2 112 cabs would do nicely, too, to make a scale-able rig. |

The way I see it, if you have a STL pumping two Berg 112's, and you're still not loud enough to be heard, well, the gigs almost up cause the cops are going to be rolling in anytime.

Blacksburg, VA -> Cape Cod, MA = 2 days using UPS Ground (which is what you get for the $50 Berg makes me charge for shipping). So shipping tomorrow should get it to to you on Friday, Pete.
Now that's NOT guaranteed. But all the "guarantee" means is UPS will refund the shipping fees if/when they screw up, even with 2-day service (which would cost an extra $50).
UPS rarely screws up their delivery times in the abscence of weather/natural disaster. It's happened maybe 2-3 times in 4 years where a package got on the wrong truck and headed South instead of North (or whatever the case may be). So I'd go with Ground unless you would absolutely FAIL if the cab does not show up on Friday. |

Thanks, Pete! Happy gigging! |

My local shop has one as well, and I've had nasty thoughts on a few occasions. To my ears, just as the HT112ER > Aguilar GS112, the HS410 > Epifani UL410....and that's sayin' something. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
