I'll be playing with The Electric Woodshed this Friday @
The Shires in Christiansburg, VA. The Shires is a rather large bed & breakfast, and their outdoor bar is where we'll be playing. The entire bar can be buttoned up and heated if the weather dictates, as it very well might Friday night. Hopefully not, outdoor is fun... but warm is good, too.
It's an early night (7-midnight), and this place is known for their killer brick-oven pizza. Come on out for a great dinner followed by some rocking tunes. For you locals not in the know, it's on the right 4.5 miles out Pepper's Ferry Road from the New River Valley Mall. I've played this spot with The Kind once or twice, and it's really fun.
An added bonus for me is that my parents will be in town for this one. They retired in Sammamish, WA (more or less Seattle), so we only see them once a year or so. And I'm pretty sure the last time my folks saw me play live with a band was my senior year in high school. I was probably butchering some Jimi Hendrix tune... whatever it was, it's a safe bet I was butchering it!! So it will be a real treat to (hopefully) knock their socks off.
This will also be the maiden voyage of
our new 24-track live recording rig. Hopefully, that's a good thing.

So come on out and scream, you'll make it onto tape. And I'll credit you, I swear!
