Grabbed my wife who was sleeping and bolted out of my 4th fl apt which rocked for about 30 seconds. Never experienced anything like that before, and it wasn't fun. I don't know how people live in California. U gotta be nutz. |

I did hear a faint rattling while I was in the back, but I chalked that up to some construction that was going on outside next door... maybe that was it? Or maybe not. It certainly wasn't anything way out of the ordinary here.
I hope everyone in Richmond and surrounding parts is OK! Not to mention NYC, D.C., and anywhere else it was felt! |

I went to the next office where the guy was listening to the baseball game at Progressive Field, just a few miles away, and the announcers were talking about the press booth swaying.
Freaky. |

She's been thru hurricanes down here in FLA, but this was something new. Initially, I said the disturbance was from the (FL) statewide round of applause when the news that Hurricane Irene would likely miss us was announced... or that Kyle Busch had his drivers license revoked.
