I've got a few EBS amp pieces left in stock, and I'm anxious for them to find a home. I'm going to start them at a bodaciously low price, and then I'll knock an additional $10 off each day until they sell. These are all floor models in excellent condition, and I have all of the original boxes/manuals, etc.
I'm hoping for local pickups on these pieces, so the prices I'm stating in this thread are WITHOUT shipping included. That said, I'm certainly happy to ship them. Just know that I will need to add some shipping to cover whatever UPS expenses I'd incur.
Here's what I have and what I'm asking: EBS HD-350 Head: $850 (usually $1299) EBS TD-650 Head: $1399 (usually $1839) EBS Classic 450 Head: $799 (usually $999) EBS Classic 410 Cab: $499 (usually $699) EBS Drome Classic 150W/112 Combo: $730 (usually $899)
Great amps, even greater prices! Come and get 'em!!

This was recorded "ambiently" using my Olympus LS-11 digital handheld recorder placed 8-10 feet away from the cabs. And I used my Roscoe, just 'cause I can
I played a little bit on the three main pickup combinations (both PUPs, just neck, just bridge) though the EBS rig, then I went backwards through the Shuttle 9/Berg rig. Both rigs were set flat, and I switched rigs around 0:40. "EBS Classic 450 Clip" |

I also tend to think of EBS amps as "snappy" in a good way. They tend to brighten up basses very nicely, not harshly. And their 410 speaker cabinets are REALLY nice, they project very well. If you want to punch people in the chest, an EBS cabinet might be the one for you.
Still, I've been an EBS dealer for 2-3 years now, and I've only sold 2 or 3 amps. I think they've got a couple problems from a retailer's perspective: 1) they're a bit pricey, theyre imported. And 2) they're not exactly a familiar brand as far as folks being able to hear them in person. You see them being played all over the place, but maybe it's not so easy to find dealers who stock them here in the US? I love the amps, but they just don't sell for me like the pedals do, so the amps have got to go.
Sooooooo - COUNTDOWN! EBS HD-350 Head: $810 (usually $1299) EBS TD-650 Head: $1359 (usually $1839) EBS Classic 450 Head: $759 (usually $999) EBS Classic 410 Cab: $459 (usually $699) EBS Drome Classic 150W/112 Combo: $690 (usually $899) |

That's a cool sounding head, and pretty much just as loud as the TD650 into 4ohms (the 650 kicks at 2ohms). Nice stuff. I believe they are based on a class H power amp, which is that sort of 'rail switching thing', similar to what GK uses.
And, you are correct, they are not SMPS, but use a more traditional power supply.
Crisp and clean... Tal Wilenfeld uses a combination of HD350's and 650's.
+1... kind of overpriced in the US, but these prices make them a good value.
I gigged both a 650 and 350 for about a year. Some really nice features... a GREAT, transparent compressor/limiter, a unique semi-parametric mid EQ control that has a wider Q for boost, a narrower one for cut, and then a notch cut filter when the freq is cut all the way, and a nice 'drive' control (ss in the HD350 and ss and tube.. switchable in the TD650)... warms it up nicely. And, that super sizzle control... the brite knob, which is like a variable 'bright switch'. Really nice stuff for a modern, 'hi fi' type tone. |

Always looking for that unique combination of big and warm down low, present and with some character in the mids, and nice, pure upper treble extension.
It is easy to find any two of those three in virtually any amp... hard to hit the trifecta! |

It does not come with casters, but I have some plate casters that would work nicely. Since I'm asking you to pay shipping, I'f be happy to throw in the casters. |
