Ever thought of carrying David Nordschow's new line(DNA Amps)????

Wassup Greg!

A fellow Roscoehead and I got to talking on another forum, and the subject came up of the "possibility" of you carrying David's new line, DNA Amps.

I don't know how far along in production they've gotten to, but I gotta try and stick up for Dave. If for nothing more than personal inspiration alone.

So whatcha think????

God Bless, Ray

I'd have to learn more about his plans for this line. If the dream is another mega brand like Eden that is going to end up in every GC/MF, then I'm probably not interested...

Good point. From what I read I don't think that's the case, but who knows.

There also is a lot of baggage (not so much with DN but Lane) so that can end up being a factor. Not sure how much of that will follow the new brand.

Maybe Acoustic USA and Dr. Bass?

Todd, I'm aware of some of the things said of Lane, but I don't know of anything negative toward DN himself.

I was just offering the idea to Greg, to try and help Rocket if I could.

I remember a lot of the TB guys having a distaste for his company, due to him employing a scam artist bt the name of Mike Winnen, but I believe he's been removed from the company.

This is all news to me, I never really followed Eden all that closely. So it's a learning experience if nothing else...

I’ve been following the development of the new company for a while. It appears Dave is trying to do things right this time and has learned from prior mistakes. It is apparent, for the current time, he is seeking dealers like Rocket Music to support his product and avoiding the huge box chains. Time will tell, but I think we should keep an open mind for now.

I read A LOT, especially here on TB. And I know what's been said, but I don't want a Rocket Music thread to turn into a bashing thread. That in essence is counter intuitive to the reason I asked about DNA.

I don't personally want to be associated with generating one, and I especially don't want the name of Rocket Music associated with one.

An open mind is one thing, but that won't stop the bashers from peeing on the proverbial parade.

I'd personally like to see David succeed from the aspect of his perceived physical "disadvantage", and I'm all for an open mind. I just don't want a mudslinging fest from sore folks that have poor opinions of those involved with his new company.

EDIT; I also take things said by most mudslingers with a grain of salt, unless I know them personally. Just my opinion.

Just for the record (or CD) - I'm not trying to mudsling. Just bringing up the fact that there certainly was some bad juju associated with Eden towards the end. I believe that it was an issue with other employees but there is an air of mistrust with some at TB. I don't have any direct experience (other than not really caring for Eden stuff as far back as I can remember), but there certainly has been plenty of bandwidth around it. I do know that Eden did, and DNA still does publish fairly optimistic specs for their cabs (freq response and spl levels). Not the end of the world - if it sounds good, it is good. But one also needs to be careful of the "guilt by association" that happens on the good ol' interwebs.

Oh I know that Todd, But you know the interwebs brings out folks who sling mud for the sake of slinging it. A pro cat like you, your opinion is valid and valuable. Guys that have no clue of what went down have no business getting involved IMO, but they will given the opportuinity.

I just don't want to bring anything negative on Rocket is all, for the same "guilt by association" you speak of.

All in all I hope things are on the up and up and Rocket can bring in another line and continue to grow and succeed.

I'd like nothing more.

I'm always interested to hear new stuff, and certainly pull for the small companies - especially ones that design/build/based in the US (apologies for my jingoist tendencies).

That said, I don't want to like it too much as I'm pretty tapped out at this point.

Although I *really* want to find a good cabinet that weighs under 30lbs and sounds good for small gigs.

I was just throwing the one thing I remember about the company out there, Ray.

I know man. I just got concerned that I may have brought something negative to Rocket's door. Something I DO NOT want to do.

Everybody knows you wouldn't want that either.

Truth is I read some of those things, but my opinion was they turned into a mudfest rather than a logical discussion. The majority of the time I pay no mind to mudslingers because 99% of the time the stuff that arises out of that has no basis in fact.

People with legitimate issues can use tact and make a logical point. Those who can't I pay no mind to.

I'll do what I can to help Rocket grow. Other than that, I'll avoid the crud.

God Bless, Ray

HAHA! That's so funny I forgot to laugh.

I WILL visit one day, and for that crack, I won't tell you when. I can positively guarantee you nothing negative will happen except GAS.
