This is amazing. Greg, thanks for treating Cheryl so great! I have a sub gig Thursday with one of my old bands to try it out (outside, poolside at an east valley resort). In less than a year I have replaced more bass gear than I have in the past 20 years, not a bad thing.

My UBER stack (Quad & 115) was sounding mighty righteous tonight. I spent most of the night leaning on the King Koa's Barden neck pickup, just a few tunes centered. Tonight was another classic rock and blues sort of night, and the Barden neck PUP just eats that stuff up. And as several folks here on TB have noted, these small UBER cabs (Quad and 115) really do take EQ well. I could hear the differences in my blend settings really well tonight, so it was a lot of fun.
Can't wait to hear a gig report from ya!

I really wanted to push the cabs and see if the 12.0 max was enough with the 8 ohm loads, maybe next time. I can bridge my big rig to give me 750 watts to each cab if needed. The last time I played here it was totally different.
But, the cabs sound bigger in the mix than I expected, and very big and full even with the lower volume, which is also important. One Quad would have been more than enough this afternoon.
You can really hear slight eq changes and tone shift when panning the pickups.
Here are a couple shots during setup, horrible weather in Arizona this time of year.

I'm so eager to try a pair of Quads with a Streamliner I'll probably have to wear a lobster bib to protect my bass. If they produce the sound I'm after, I'll be getting rid of a lot of cabs, heads, and combos. |

I worked with an established high quality small company with the measurements on the new cabs and just received a pair. They look and fit great. PM me for the link, or if it is OK with Greg I will post it here.

I assume Genz-Benz will eventually offer an official cover for these... |

Contact Tom Palmer at http://www.d2fcovers.com/Landing.htm
Very quick service, excellent product, and a real good guy. I did my homework and picked Tom from the others, turned out great. I even talked him into a free t-shirt with two covers.
