Thanks, Dave! I'm really excited about this trip. Even though I was just out there a coupla months ago, it's going to be fun to see the entire Bump clan out there at the same time.
My sister lives in Vegas, my brother lives in Atlanta, I live in the boonies of VA, and my Dad's kin live in TX and RI for the most part (even though both Mom & Dad are from Maine originally). Typical military family, I'd guess. Once all the "required" moving is done, we just stop and stay put wherever we are. I moved every two years growing up, three different high schools, the whole bit. But once I got to Blacksburg **GULP** 23 years ago to attend VA Tech, I would've needed A REALLY GOOD REASON to ever move again.
Needless to say, it's hard to get everyone in my family together. But I dare say a celebration of 50 years of marriage warrants a gathering!
Not to mention a trip to the Lull shop. I have no idea what to expect there, so that should be a ton of fun. I just hope it doesn't turn out like my first Roscoe shop visit. I walked in and met Keith and Gard planning to order 2-3 basses in about 30 minutes... 2-3 hours and 12 basses later... well, here we are.
I spent most of this past week catching up from being out the previous week, so I'm not looking forward to the week after next. But at least Danny will be here while I'm gone this time, so we're not BOTH having to play catchup...
