JBFLA's LG-3000 FL

JBFLA has a new Roscoe on order. Gard was kind enough to share a preliminary pic, and it's looking pretty incredible! The pic below shows the body with color and sealer applied. No primer or clear coat yet...

Gard said a naughty word when he described the top to me, and then he just kept repeating the naughty word when I asked him what he meant. Yeah, it's THAT nice a piece of quilted maple - perfect choice for the cobalt blue finish.

And, Jim - Gard says "You're Welcome". I get the impression he strongly recommended that top. I guess that's why he gets the big money!

Absolutely amazing. And an unlined diamondwood board? Excellent choice - this bass is going to be absolutely stunning!

Oh my, oh my, oh my...

Not that I ever had a doubt about how it would turn out (A million thanks Gard), but it's hard to picture from a raw piece of wood.
Thanks for sharing!

Me too Ray!!
I haven't blind ordered a bass since I bought a Lakland DPLEll way back before I even knew of Roscoe.

It more than makes up for the 1700 mile round trip!!

Super fine.
Top really pops.
In my mind, there can never be enough fretless Roscoe's.

Oooh - we're in the 2-week or less window for this one to ship. No frets & no lines speeds things along. Same for Todd (nostatic)!

(shhhhh!)
There was a serious upcharge for the RUSH order: I have to make another trip up to the shop, order a Koa 5 string AND buy lunch that includes adult beverages (Greg - you're invited).

Methinks the Koa 5 string might be cheaper than the lunch...

Speaking of Rush - the boys will be playing in Greensboro April 1!! Guess I'm gonna have to schedule a trip to the Roscoe shop followed by some Canadian rock!

And I'm there for lunch, Jim!

If that's legit, someone needs to introduce Mr. Lee to Greensboro's finest bass guitars...

It is legit! And a huge +1 to showing Mr. Lee a Roscoe Jazz.
