Anyway, speaking just for me, the first post in this thread shows Lull M5V fitment in the Vertigo. I just had a gig where I took a Lull and a Roscoe in the iGig double bag - no issues there, although the Lull fitment is a bit tight. I do keep the strap on the bass, which makes things a bit more difficult regardless of which bag I use.
I think I'm probably overstating since this ground has been covered, but buying the Vertigo for it's storage capacity is realistically a mistake. The regular M80 is much better for this purpose, and of course the iGig (at least in my experience) is king. Adding the Tick to the Vertigo bag is certainly one option, but if you're more concerned with main pocket storage (i.e. long cables, binders, class-D amps, etc) you're much better off with a more, "traditional," bag. |

I bought the ata version as some gigs my stuff ends up getting knocked around. The Mono bag is a good fit, and there is plenty of room for multiple cables in the outer zippered section. Plus the shoulder strap actually works.

Moving head/cables/charts yo a small bag fixed the problem, but still, the IGIG is heavy... |

"Are Mono double gig bags called Stereo?"
I have two more gigs with him on the books this month, so there may be more.
On a serious note, I'm still totally digging the Vertigo. I've been carrying the Tick separately, and....I have to admit, I like it. It's nice being able to get to everything so easily, even if it does mean carrying around one extra bag. The other advantage - it keeps the Vertigo very slim. On this gig I did the carpool thing, and it was cramped in the back of a Toyota Highlander. Having a bag with extra pockets would've made things an even tighter squeeze. |

| | | | Mono Vertigo I am on the hunt for a new gig bag. Already own the M80 double and it certainly does its job. Been looking to just carry one bass in future and the Vertigo was my first choice. However, getting mixed opinions on the headlock fitting a 5 string bass. Mono have said that there next run of cases will address this issue, but this wont be available in the UK until the Summer. However have also contacted a large bass shop who say there will not be an issue. Not sure if shop is just trying to sell or if Mono are just being over cautious. |

The only basses that come to mind as questionable would be a 35" A/C J bass with the fiver tuners on top, or an exotic with 36" scale. My Lulls fit just fine, even with the strap in place. |

Fit fine. Zero issue. |

| | Well, Ahoy Paloi | | Join Date: Sep 2009 Location: Cape Cod, MA | | | This is funny; Saturday night as I was getting ready for my gig I put my SKB 3005 into the Vertigo and actually looked at the head stock and it did seem tight, but still fit in nicely.
I would think some basses, such as Elrick and Pedulla (larger head stocks) may be too snug, but you can find that out in advance prior to purchase. My 3 Roscoe's, Lull and Modulus Q5 are fine.
Side note - the Vertigo, while a bit heavy due to the construction, is really well balanced when worn on the back using both straps. I almost forget it's hanging on my back.

I guess I'm so used to hauling around two basses in my dual M80 case that I'm always amazed at how light the Vertigo is. That's probably just due to there being one less bass in the case. |

| | Well, Ahoy Paloi | | Join Date: Sep 2009 Location: Cape Cod, MA | | ^ Now that you mention it Greg, it's not too heavy. I read your post and just picked up the Vertigo case empty and another single gig bag: Gray with a large front pocket and smaller head stock pocket on it and I believe one full grown male Sheep ( Ovis aries) as a padded liner ; they feel similar in weight.
Now, pair it up with the Tick (mine is full to the brim with goodies) and you talk about heavy!
Sill, thrilled with the Vertigo / Tick combo.

I purchased one along with the tick (from Greg, of course, and I got a good deal and ridiculously quick shipping- which is more remarkable as the Vertigo shipped direct from MONO). My Modulus Quantums and my Spector Forte 5 fit no problem, all being 35" basses.
About the storage capacity - while not huge, I can fit 2 21' cables (one as a backup) and my iPad in the front pocket no problem. Not tons and tons, but for going to a jam or somewhere with a rig provided, you don't need much more (okay, maybe a tuner- for the guitarist!).
I am not a touring pro or even a regular gigging bass player, but for what I wanted (a nice slim, easy to access bag), this fits the bill 100%. The Tick is a great idea/addition as well, as you can add or remove it as necessary, and it carries a lot. The fact that these are rain proof (I know from experience) is also something worth noting.
Once again, a great bag for easy load in and out, but not something to carry your whole rig in.

I was wondering why I had so little room to discount those bags whenever people asked. |

I occasionally do a gig with only one bass and have been using a RB Continental which I officially despise for two reasons:
1. single zipper on the outside compartment (instead of a double like the M80).
2. the shoulder straps are mounted about 6" lower than the M80 so I whack every doorway I walk through unless I stoop down (I'm 6'1").
The zipper I can live with but the straps are a no-go.
