This Suhr Classic J arrived recently. It's got a classic look, but the electronics and superb Suhr playability are all modern (think Sadowsky, not Fender).
You can't really tell from the pic, but the fretboard is a beautiful bird's eye maple. This was one of Suhr's featured basses at NAMM, so it's quite the showpiece. Please check it out

For those of you unfamiliar with
John Suhr, he's got quite the resume. He was a luthier at Rudy's in NYC, then an amp designer at Bob Bradshaw's Custom Audio, then a Senior Master Builder in Fender's Custom Shop. And for the past 10 years, John has been setting the guitar world on fire with his own amazing guitars and amps. He knows tone inside and out, and that really shows in his products.
We've only scratched the surface with his basses, but this first one is every bit as fine as his guitars. We have more on order that will arrive in the coming months.
