We've been watching this beautiful Gadow bass being made in another thread. Well she finally landed today, and all I can say is "Oh, my!!".
As good as it looks, it sounds even better. I'm going to do a sound clip sometime real soon for this and a couple other Gadows...
In the meantime, we need to name this color! "Danny Burst" was Ryan's original idea since this is the same color that's on Danny's Gadow guitar, but Danny doesn't like that. To me, the color is cranberry or red wine. So I thought "Cranberry Burst" or "Red Wine Burst"... Anyone else got any good name ideas? Whatever we call it, I frickin' love it! Gadow Custom 5-String (Spalted Quilted Maple)

...it's because you both like Bud beers, isn't it? It's all because you guys hate me because I like actual beer...that's gotta be it...
(...very nice piece of quilt, and KILLER color!)

Now, now. There's no need to do anything rash. (in some households, people get in trouble for using the "F" word. I get in trouble for using a couple "G" words)
Back on topic:
That bass turned out insanely nice! I can't wait to hear clips of this one. If it sounds anywhere close to how great it looks, somebody's gonna be very happy!

So I tuned the kick drum down a little bit (not a typo, I dropped the frequency of the kick drum), and I added a dozen or so well-placed cymbal crashes that amp up the energy even more...
