^^ Why the heck not?
We're in the process of becoming a dealer for
Peluso Microphones. John Peluso is one of the many fine folks fleeing NY/NJ's tax & traffic situation, and it turns out that he has relocated very close to us in Willis, VA. The dude knows mics inside and out, and he's making some really top notch ones.
Danny is a bit of a vintage mic collector, and he sent a few of his personal mics over to John for refurbishing based on some local recommendations. Danny assumed that John had retired from NY and was now doing stuff out of his basement just to putter around. But when he went to pick up his mics, he found a fairly massive facility over in Willis. They're cranking out millions of dollars worth of top notch mics over there every year. If you knew Willis, you'd know just how crazy that is! It's like having a store like Rocket Music in Blacksburg, VA
But, hey! We love supporting local guys who are doing high quality work. Peluso is already fairly well known within the high-end mic world, but we'll do what we can to help spread the word even further.
I'm hoping I soon have my hands on a KILLER mic for recording bass cabs. I also need to learn a bit more about the ins and outs of mic placement. I want to give any cab I record a fair shake, and right now I can't do that reliably. But I'm learning!!
