New Arrival - USED Roscoe SKB-3006

Here's a new-to-me Roscoe SKB-3006 that was traded in recently. Shhhhhh!! Jerry B. has a secret new Roscoe on order. Oh, wait... I already ruined that suprise in another thread. Sorry, Jerry!

I'm guessing on the age and the specs at the moment, but I'm pretty sure both are correct. There's a thorough description of the condition on my site (follow the link above). It's in great shape for a 10-year old bass, but it is still a 10-year old bass.

The bass plays and sounds great. Most of the guys at the recent GA GTG had a chance to play on this one, maybe they'll share some comments, too.

I'm asking $2199 OBO. I'm closing on the new building in less than 2 weeks, so PLEASE make me an offer if this one appeals to you!!

Now onto the bass porn!

This bass is amazing. Tone only a Roscoe can bring, plays like a dream, Purdiest red I've ever seen and the Spalted Purpleheart fingerboard that is, well, a site to behold. I've traded many basses and this was the hardest one to ship off. I just really wanted the bass 4575 was sacrificed for, so trading this bass was the only way I could make it happen right now.

Here's a outdoor pic:

And another plus that makes this bass special is It just came back from the Roscoe shop with a freshly re-profiled thin neck that plays like butter. Here's the full story + more pics:

Another Roscoe Love Story

Just a great, great bass. Quintessential Roscoe, both in looks and sound. Great deal on a terrific bass. Nothin' on the planet is like a Roscoe SKB sixer.

Thanks for your comments, Jerry & Jerry!

I've had one phone call about it already... this one shouldn't stick around long!

Hey man I've got a fresh $5 bill I can put down.

BTW, What's the interest rate on an 8.5 year layaway?

God Bless, Ray

I have been looking at an LG3000 that Greg has at the store...just don't think I can afford it. I have a Fender Jazz to sell, house payments, $1,200 a month of daycare, etc.

Believe me, I've been tempted to say what the hell a few times and charge it. I am so lost as to what bass to try next I am not even playing right now.

Greg is extremely easy to deal with and he takes trades. He can't help you with the house payment but, he will help you find your dream bass. Give him a call and see what he can do.

Century Standard.

100% Roscoe. At least a grand cheaper.

Granted they're Bart CB's for pickups, rather than Roscoe Quads. But that's a severely popular option with custom Roscoes.

I have talked to Greg and he is awesome. I just can't do it right now. I'm gonna try a used Lakland 44-02 for now. It's no LG3000 but it'll have to do. When I do decide to spring for a a Roscoe, it will probably come from Greg or maybe more locally Tony at Planet Bass.

Thumbs up

Bump for one of those awesome Roscoe's that attended the Georgia GTG!
We had quite a collection of Roscoe 3006 basses there!

This one's definitely got some mojo!
