None of these basses is spoken for yet, so by all means contact me if you'd like to claim one of them and tweak the specs in any way.
The abundance of Bubinga tops being used is due to the recent arrival of this sick, sick board in G'boro. Gard obviously could not resist petting it, and who can blame him?!?
Here's what I have coming, all arriving sometime between now and July 2012.
First up - the Bubinga ones. Sorry, no pics of the individual tops are available just yet. Keith, Gard and I will fix that soon enough! SKB-3005 Ash/Bubinga/BEM **PRE-SOLD**

The bubinga ones are cousins of mine (and the other two you sold), I take it or is this a different piece altogether? The wenge centre necks and standard Roscoe/Bart electronics will kill in that combination.

This board is still in one piece, or at least it was as of a couple days ago. Keith was planning his cuts to maximize the yield last time I spoke with Gard...
It's all definitely in the same league. There has been some sick Bubinga making it's way to Greensboro lately... |

Starting to catch on to my way of convincing myself?
But then there's that damn SKB3005 fretless, too.

But then there's that damn SKB3005 fretless, too. | I'll send you one of the 6-space guitar racks that we use on our showroom floor. That way you don't have to make these awful choices. |

No, Greg, I'm not "petting" the bubinga, there's a cloth with mineral spirits in my hand.
Jeff, as Greg points out, no, it's a different piece of wood completely, but both are pretty amazing!
Ryan, bubinga, ash, and diamondwood make the BEST fretless! And Greg's so thoughtful...a 6 space rack stand, perfect!!!
Pete, wenge with bubinga is one of my favorite combinations, looks great - especially if you get a bubinga 12th fret inlay!
Michael, nope, we did not source this board locally, but I'm now curious as to where you saw a board like this in Greensboro! Do tell!!!
Bill, see my comment to Pete - YES! |

I'm not sure why I went with BEM on all of the Bubinga ones. I think I'll change at least one of those to Wenge (probably the standard plus, just to darken it up a bit tonally and visually). |

- bubinga and wenge sounds like a great combination
- there is not a person on this thread that wouldn't just hug that board, leaving a puddle of slobber on it, if they had the chance. That's a beautiful piece of wood.
- Please, someone check on Jerry - he may be trapped under something heavy, and unable to reach his computer.
