I'm not sure if Larry is on TB, but if he is I hope he chimes in!
And sorry for the slow activity this week, fellas. I've been feeling pretty rough since Sunday, moving half speed for sure... but today is the first day I actually feel better! Hopefully I'll be Aces by tomorrow. Selling a Roscoe or two usually has miraculous curative powers! |

Congrat's Larry!
Greg, sorry to hear that you've been under the weather a bit but glad to hear that you're feeling better!
Plug up a couple of those killer Roscoe's and lay down some nice sound clips. That will bring you around! |

Greg, up here in NE, Boxelder (Acer negundo) is sort of a "weed" tree. They grow fast and the branches are brittle, I have never seen anyone else use the wood for instruments besides Roscoe, have you?
I would say it is not as dense as "Rock Maple" (Northern Sugar Maple), Mytrle or Ash. I think for a top it is great, doubt they use it for a body wood like Ash or Alder.
It sure looks cool and I am anxious to see the results. |

It's got 5 holes for pots, and it will get two more holes for switches. Larry very much wants a passive capability in this bass, so we're having Bartolini wire in an active/passive 2-way switch. Since that will bypass the preamp altogether when in passive mode (and there go the EQ and blend controls), Roscoe is adding a 5th knob that will serve as a "passive tone control". It's basically a passive treble roll off filter that will work in both active & passive modes.
And Larry doesn't care for push-pull knobs, so the mid frequency selector switch will be a separate 2-way switch.
How's that for custom?!? It ain't cheap, though, due to all the specialty electronics work. I haven't mod'd the specs yet to include this, but the price will be going up a little bit. |

Killer combo.
Glad I got my order in yesterday. (SKB)
Ever wood combo has it's merit's.
Tough to choose.
I can see why people end up with more than one Roscoe. |
