New Roscoe Top - Buckeye Burl!!

Roscoe does about as nice a Buckeye Burl top as anybody, and I just reserved a KILLER piece for my store. Please let me know if this piece starts giving you some serious GAS, I'd be happy to quote a custom Roscoe build for anyone!!

Part of the art of working with Buckeye Burl is filling all the voids so that they disappear or at least look like they belong. Roscoe does a really great job with this. Sometimes the filled voids end up being every bit as cool as the wood itself!!

Oh boy. I don't know if I dare mention either name yet.

I'm gonna let you off the hook on this one, Ryan. Really cool Buckeye Burl is more common than the really cool Koa. If this piece goes, there's another cool piece right behind it. Don't freak out about missing this one.

Man, I'm a HORRIBLE sales person, aren't I?!?

See Greg, this is the *opposite* of what you're supposed to be doing as a salesman......

....and kudos for it.

^^ And of course, I'm not making a judgement of any sort in the previous statement. They're both GORGEOUS woods, one just happens to be more plentiful.

As long as it's got some intelligent override like...

if ( dude_has_recently_purchased_two_mac-daddy_Roscoe_basses() )
{
don't_give_the_hard_sell();
}
else
{
sell_MFer_sell();
}

Yeah, I'm guessing this one is gonna slip by me. But I 100% positive that you guys will come up with something equally as cool when I'm ready.

Considering the two instruments I'm currently playing, I'm confident that when we do order/build my fretless Century, it'll be nothing short of amazing.

Now there's the geeky Bumpster that I know and love. The most sad part is that to me, this was the most intelligible comment in the thread.

Mr. Bump "Geeky" This cannot be true! For he owns a Roscoe with Bardens. If that doesn't make 'im the Shizz, what would????
