Probably a good time to update this. Everything is still basically the same, but we've added some new brands.
So here's the deal. Most manufacturers require us to advertise a certain price on our website. Some manufacturers allow us to discount below that price online; some prohibit discounting online but allow it over the phone/email or in our brick & mortar store; and some prohibit discounting altogether.
Most brands fall into the first two categories (discountable via phone, email or possibly online). If we
can discount it online, we
do. When you add items like that to your online shopping cart, a discount automatically appears in the shopping cart as well. Here's an example of how we handle online discounting for a brand that allows it:
Genz-Benz Streamliner 900.
For the brands that allow us to discount, but don't allow it online... our site just shows the price they ask us to show.

It's up to you guys to contact us to learn what our best price is, because we're not allowed to just put it out there. Please do contact us, we're always happy to help! Here's an example of a listing like that:
Gadow Custom 5-String.
The third and final category are those brands that do not permit discounting in any way, shape or form. There are only a few, so here's the complete list:
-
Keith Roscoe / Roscoe Guitars
-
Mike Lull / Mike Lull's Custom Guitars
-
Jim Bergantino / Bergantino Audio
-
Paul Rivera / Rivera Amps
Some consideration may be given if an instrument/amp has sat in our store for over a year, but that's the only exception to the rule for those brands. Such items will typically be marked as **NEW, OLD STOCK** on our site and will have the discounted price displayed right there online. Here's a good example:
Roscoe SKB-3006 **NEW, OLD STOCK**
Is that confusing enough?!?

When in doubt, give me a call or drop me a PM or email. We'd love to hear from you!
