I've been trying to get a decent shot of my new SKB3006 for a while. This is one hard to photograph bass.

So, do you notice a difference with the "reverse" pups?

I think I do, yes. Hard to say, since my LG was ash, and this one is mahogany though.

Do you have a separate battery for the strings Jon?

They actually look lit up!

Pretty bass!

Roscoe newbie

Picked up my 1st Roscoe couple of weeks ago on eBay. Century Signature #5495. Big thanks to Gard, eBay seller didn't have the best listing so I messaged Gard. He replied right away and gave me all the build specs. Outstanding service, and one helluva bass! I'm one happy Roscoe camper

Swamp ash body, exhibition grade quilted maple top, 5 piece wedge neck maple/chechen/purpleheart, wenge fingerboard, Bartolini preamp & PU's.

Here's a current family picture. I've posted quite a few lately but I predict that the latest arrival will stop the revolving door for a long, long time!
I'm so sure that the LG is a keeper that I've ordered some nice custom knobs from THG for her.

Mahoganut and Queen Koa ........

Ceerod - Great Looking Bass! I've got a quilt maple build coming my way as well.

Joe - that's a handsome family. Are they staying together?

Thanks Keith. Yeah, it took some horse trading but I believe that I finally got the pair I want. Similar tones with a 5 and 6 string and my preferred choice of finish, oil.

Thanks J2K. Until I got this Roscoe I'd pretty much considered the Ken Smith basses I've owned in the past to be some of the nicest basses I've owned. Blown away by the craftsmanship and playability of this Roscoe, think it may have raised the bar for me.

Yeah, that is a killer quilt maple top ceerod!

Got to love the wenge finger board too. It really seems to phatten up the sound of the bass.

I just received some custom wood knobs from Roger at THG for my myrtle SKB. I couldn't be happier with the outcome. He managed to match the wood about as much as anyone could hope for. At some angles the color match looks perfect but, at others they are a tad bit lighter. The tops are also flame myrtle and the bodies are Macassar ebony. These really work much better on the Pope Flexcore than the mismatched metal knobs from before. Click image for larger version

Very nice Joel! They look very classy!

I've got a set coming from Roger for the new Koa LG-3005.

This is pushing me over the edge to get wood knobs for my Roscoes. Stop it.
