I believe that this one, and my first Roscoe fretless, were in the Roscoe queue when we first chatted on TB (prior to the Roscoe forum days). I believe 2002 ........ | Thanks Joe. It still is in great shape, considering the mileage it has on it! It just nails the fretless tone!
You're right I think these were built at or near the same time.

And yes, indeed, Steve is good people. Even though he thought you were a man of taste and class. | Did I mention the fact that Mike is also one of the few people I know that probably has more Hawaiian shirts than I do?? The dude abides, has some serious good taste in basses, and needs to spend a month in a palapa, on the beach between Rancho Buena Vista and Rancho Leonero, getting some serious fishing on, snorkeling Punta Pescadero, relaxing, and chasing the brown gals.
Come to think of it, a month down there would be good for all of us.. |

Ok, here are some shots from my $24 (cough cough cough) studio setup (/cough /cough /cough)... aka my hallway, the cheapest dark twin-size bedsheet I could find, and the cheapest two desk lamps I could find.
As you can see, I'm still fighting reflection and some color balance issues. But, what better subjects than Roscoe instruments as I practice and learn, right? All shots taken with a tripod-mounted Nikon D90 & 35mm f/1.8 lens. Pics captured in f/2.8 aperture mode @ ISO 400. |

All of what I mentioned in my previous post plus a gaggle of killer bass loving folks out on the charter boats catching Dorado, Tuna, and very possibly a Marlin or two.. Then again, having a boatload of our crew out on the deep waters of the Gulf of California might be more like the inmates charter fishing day as in One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest.. Now that would be fun...

| | | Bringin' this one back up for more pic's of all 'o your beautiful Roscoes guys!
Also, I've taken new pics of mine!
Been trying to catch the natural colours of them better, and I got a rare, bright, sunny, clear skied day, so what better fun is to be had than photographing some Roscoe goodness?
I think I'm pretty close to dead on colourwize now, but the figuring in the wood isn't showing up as well as I'd hope, espcially in the SKB. Focus could be a fair whack sharper too.
Probably should get a real camera, heh, phone ain't cutting it.
So come on lads, more pics, ever more, please!

Heck, I'm thrilled just to have all of the pictures (that you posted) to look at! I could just imagine opening the case and seeing it in person!
You and Jerry have convinced me that until I learn how to take pictures, I just shouldn't post pic's of my basses! |
