What started as this top:
...has so far turned into this body:
I'm hoping I have the right top and body matched up... they look similar, but they also look kinda different. Sometimes it's hard to tell what will happen to a top like Buckeye Burl when you start carving into it (the coloring can change quite a bit in spots as you go deeper into the board).
Am I right, Gard? And is this the Angry Panda piece?!? I don't see the panda in the raw top, but I'm bad at that kind of thing, too... I know I had two buckeye tops on hold, and I fear I have confused them on my end...
The good news is that the body DEFINITELY looks like that. |

EDIT: Thanks for the photo, Pete!

If nobody jumps on this one quickly, I might just turn it into a fretless 5. I'm thinking Ash back, wenge shim in the body, standard neck with a lined diamondwood board... |

EDIT: Thanks for the photo, Pete! | Glad to help, Brotha Greg. My children even dug the Angry Panda piece when we were in Greensboro last February. Not as politically correct as, say a Disney panda- which is exactly why I like it!
Cool beans- someone will be very lucky to own this bad boy. Subscribed! |

That's the bad news... the good news is Gard tells me that he and Keith were looking at Buckeye tops yesterday, and they can easily get more Buckeye that is as good or better. |

BTW, Greg and Gard, I am ditching that idea that I pm'd you guys about. I don't need another fretted 5; I already own the two best fretted 5s ever made.
So, it'll be a fretless Century 3006......
