Thank you sir. I purchased a '66 from GC's vintage site with lollipops last week and it ended up being a '68 like I thought, so it went back today, but I have a lead on another '66 and I think I might snag it. I'll post pics if I do.

Again, I appreciate you posting them !

Rick Rubin/Dixie Chicks...Chad Smith and I as usual doing Rick's rhythm section work along with some amazing guitarists (Smokey Hormel, Blake Mills & Matt Sweeney) which is always quite fun.

...........

Um, no actually I have bigger strings than what I had on back then and don't know the gauges. Thanks for keeping me in check.

Yes, I'm the only bass player on this session. Not a full album yet, tho.

All original bass to my knowledge, yes.

interesting, so those are not d'addario anymore?
I'm wonderin since d'addario's flats only go to a maximum of 50-105.
one day I'm gonna take the courage and play a set of LaBella 55-110...

No no...my bad...they're the regular D'Addario Chromes 50-105. I tried some other, bigger flats on it (GHS?) and they didnt seem quite as good as the Chromes to me.

Man, the mids on the chromes just sing! Lots of flats are all thump...... and the chromes will to with some muting...... but with for pure fingerstyle, they're the best. I'm addicted to them now.

I love the tone of your Pbass 'n Chromes in that youtube clip Justin.

Chromes are great, but Justin, have you ever tried Thomastic Infield Jazz Flats. They are very supple and easy to play and sound freakin amazing.
