I don't know... I heard when he had his tech bump his Jaguar up to 18v that he also had bass, mid and treble knobs installed for each pickup...
Sounds pretty pro-active to me!

What are the tone knobs on the amplifier for? Install a preamp in the bass so you don't have to take 3 steps back to your amp?

...and I owned an Alembic!

Huh? Passive, yo. Except my Jaguar that has two Alembic preamps and stereo XLR outs.
