Beck Sabbath Tour Myth?

Sign in to disble this ad
Justin,

Back in my days as a barista ('95-'97) I heard a myth about Beck's tour bus... that for some period of time on tour, the only music allowed to be played (audibly) on the bus was Black Sabbath's I and II.

I remember Beck's "Ozzy" from Stereopathetic Soulmanure, but I don't know if that's enough of a justification.

Is there any grain of truth to this urban legend? Or is it just the fantasy of caffeine addled architecture students?

Thanks, and say hi to your afro the next time you see it.

haha, no that wasn't the case, but we definitely cranked the s&*t out of some Sabbath, amongst other demonic offerings across the musical spectrum.

Thanks for clearing that up.

It sounded like a cool myth, but from the occasional van touring that I've done, I imagine it would have been funny for about 12 hours, then cause for mutiny.
