can't get melody, chords and groove to work...:S

i like this melody and dont really want to change it.

but i just cant seem to get the right chords (or any) to go with it.

seems like it is destined to be a chorus with no chords and just everything is a line or little riff.

am i doing too much on the bass.

ideally it would be the vocals going along with and around that keyboard melody.

Hmmm...bassline seems a little busy, particularly when it's fighting for recognition with that icy synth sound at 1:09. But perhaps it's not just that it's busy, it's just that nothing in that section seems to harmonically "anchor" it. I wish there was something like chordal "glue" going on in there that you could hang your hat on.
