Amazing work pulling double duty here Justin. Just saw this for the first time yesterday. Was this all recorded in one shot? It's wonderful.

For those of you who haven't seen it, check it and respect it.

Yup - no O/D's...all one shot. Fun.

I love how stiff my arms get when I rocked that baby kit. Weird!

Thank you much, Zerstorte Zelle!

wasn't going to say anything, but now that you mentioned it yourself, that was all i could see when you played drums

but you played very well, i thought. not the least bit sloppy. put in 3-4 months of practice and you could could probably gig on drums. i used to play drums and that's something i always say i'm going to do, but then i price current pro level drunsets and i think maybe i'm better off sticking to bass and guitar.

I love the intense psych-up look before you start playing. I imagine an internal monologue along the lines of: "Ok JMJ, time to melt faces?.. hell.. yes"

So you play bass, guitar, drums and keys? Do you play anything else? Do you think learning another instrument helps with your bass playing?

Sure, I "play" lots of things, but suck at most of them, though I'm actually a fan of my guitar playing, and doing tons of keyboard playing in recent times, which i just LOVE doing. But I do it by force of will. In other words, if someone wants some bleeps/bloops/textures on their record/film/show or whatever, I'm all like "Sure! No problem!" The fact that I have some rad keyboards/effects/sound generating gear helps cover up for my limited skills, but thankfully I have an ear that lets me come up with some cool melodic/harmonic choices, methinks.

But i play clarinet (learned in school), and once in a blue moon, I'll do a session on either regular or bass clarinet....talking once every three years.

Learning, or even ATTEMPTING, other instruments most definitely helps. Can't speak on that enough, in fact.

i think your guitar playing is right on, too. i just hope you don't do a t-bone wolk and go to guitar full-time. the bass world needs more like you
