i remember vaguely that you had done a session similar to this with beck that never got pressed to cd. any updates on that? and have you ever done this type of playing before? any recordings perhaps?

It sounds like you're referring to something genre-specific the way you say experimental improv.

Suffice to say, there's been many occasions where we've done some experimental jamming/freakouts/whatever. A lot of it is recorded, but never released. Probably a good thing. I've done tons of it, with lots 'o people.

Most of us don't have the patience or time to try and cull something worthwhile out of that stuff, but now and then, it shows up on Beck records.
