Yes indeed. God I love that song. Almost had me in tears as I was tracking it. Phew.

Only under duress. Beck "made me" start playing upright back in about '98. God bless him.

As I've said before: I'm not very good. But perhaps it does a thing when I'm called upon to do it. I sure enjoy it.

I think Beck did you (and by extension, the rest of us) a favor by "making you" play upright. For someone with your kind of versatility and good taste, it just makes sense. I'm also a fellow electric-turned-upright player, and can definitely attest to how much just being able to get a good tone and play my fundamentals with good intonation on URB has helped and informed my electric playing.
