Good home recording vocal mike.

Hi Justin.

You seems to know your mikes. Basically my band has a super simple but surprisingly effective little setup but we just want slightly bit better mike for male vocals. The sm57 and 58's aren't really cutting it for lead vocals.

Cheers!

SM7: cheap, condenser-ish, big bottom, decent top. Good value.
M-Audio Sputnik: an all around winner, tube flavor.
AT4045: my choice in the $400-$500 range

FYI, next time, a much better resource than me is the low-end forum on Gearslutz.com

Cheers mate, we were actually considering the Sm7 since we love our other shure mikes. But we will definately look into the others, it's a bit easier with four payers splitting the cost.

Cheers again!
