@ Chris V.
Its a video of the pedal maker Big John doing a cover of
Sexx Laws by Beck, with a cover and a fro' to rival the original! |

I doubt any of us could play it exactly like you, but to me that's the beauty of music...we start out trying to cop the notes but always end up with some not-quite-there version that lies between the original's vibe and our own weird thing. If I was putting together a Beck tribute band, I'd be perfectly happy with it.
My only gripe is he's copping your fro, too. That just goes a little too far. Get your own hair, pal!
(yes, I'm jealous of people who still have their hair)

| | | there's a video somewhere in the bowels of www.bassplayer.tv where he talks about recording this song as well as plays some excerpts. I'd link it, but that site is facked. |

Besides, I thought you'd shaved your 'fro Justin? In that case I think that guy has free reign to bite your now abandoned style. |

For all I know, everyone thinks I bit Craig from Lenny Kravitz's band or something. I've had this hair forever, and it comes and goes. Anyone who can grow one is entitled to one!!
But now, as the summer winds down, I think the afro is making a case for a mighty return!

So yeah, you can't claim any sort of trademark on it

Funny I know !
Justin is one of my favorite bassplayers indeed... he inspires me for what I do in my own bands (especially if you talk about SOUND!)
The fro is NOT copied, just a coincidence !!! I'm not 16 years old or sick...
The sexx laws bassline was once in a bassplayer magazine and it was a very good exercise and lots of FUN to do!!!!
Thanks Justin (and also the others here on TB) for the kind words about my playing and my pedals!
hear you soon;-)
