JMJ and musical directing genius?

Hi Justin,

I've been planning to do some live shows with the music I've been making over the last while and have come into trouble on how to perform it. It's not technical just melodic.

Basically it's very Nine Inch Nails cross Cure stuff and it was all performed by myself so it's a pain to think out especially when you can't find anyone who wants to just play what's there, and I have no Josh Freese around here in Melbourne, Australia.
For an idea of what I'm trying to translate live: www.myspace.com/visionsofcontact

Now seeing you've been around many forms of music (and I try to do the same) and that I respect your ideas I thought I'd ask your opinion?

How do you think this would go live?
Or how would you approach this as a translation to a live scenario?

I'm torn between the ideas of having a laptop play the drums and synths and then get 2 extra musicians. One play bass (I'm not the best at singing and playing) and one guitar.

Or adding a drummer who follows the tracks to the list.

Hmmm.
By the way I finally came across a copy of Bass Player with you in it.
Great stuff. They charge $17 Aus for a copy here though.

Thanks Justin,

Matt
