In the clip the drummer seems to have an MPC next to him, what did he use it for?

Drum loops , samples, ??

That's Cosimo, Beck's son at 4:05. On that tour, Zelly arrived in Paris two days later, if memory serves.

Matt Sherrod used the MPC for loops and samples - both.
