Holy moly Jimmy!! This is gonna be a $500+ pedal here in Australia for sure.

I like the idea - and the what looks like an A/B switch.

This is a pedal I could have on my board for good reason, not just for the fun of it!

ya, it could actually replace a good 3 pedals on my board, one of which i've been hoping to replace for a while now. i have heard it'll be the same price as the other pedal tech 21 has in this chassis, which will probably translate to $500 Aus., yeah. Having been to New Zealand and visited music stores there, I feel for you guys when it comes to buying American gear.

I wonder if they'll still make the old version without the bells and whistles?

Yeah - well mostly if I buy pedals I just get em off ebay from the US these days anyway. As soon as you add in a distributer and then a retail store here everything virtually hits double. Although I paid the full $300 australian for the VT pedal.

Take the micropog for example - just a quick look and Sweetwater sell for $210, here it retails for $495.

Anyway - if this came as a midi controllable rack version, I'd be all over it...and it might only replace 1 or 2 pedals on my board. I doubt it'd replace the Pickle.

i'm pretty sure they will. it's still selling well. and not everyone needs 6 presets of vt.

STOP getting ripped off... buy online - from overseas... the US exchange rate is fantastic... I saved $100 AUD by buying my VT Bass from the States...

Even with postage factored in (at this point in time)... you'll always win... an even better example... my Fender Jag Bass, including postage from the US cost me $800 AUD new... the best price in Australia was $1450...

If retailers are not willing to come to the party, respond in kind...

My next purchase will probably be the MXR Bass Octave Deluxe... in Oz - $340-400 AUD... online, from the States $160-$200 AUD (including postage)...

It figures. This always happens to me. Whenever I finally give in and spend money on something--computer, car, bass, pedals, etc. etc. etc the better version arrives shortly thereafter. I love my VT that I just got, but I will replace it with this bad boy as soon as it hits stores!

the SansAmp BDDI was my go to pedal in the same way that the VT is to many of you. i got tired of turning knobs between (and during) songs, so i bought the BDDI Deluxe (the BDDI version of this pedal) and i love it... It is my #1 pedal.

the BDDI Deluxe sounds exactly the same (to my ears) as the regular BDDI. the knobs respond the same as well. i also really like the effect loop. if the VT Deluxe is anything like the BDDI Deluxe, you are in luck!

my one suggestion... write down all of your settings!!! admittedly, i'm not the brightest knife in the box, so also write down names for each setting next to the stomp-switches.

I know nothing, y'all. Maybe I'll find out more at NAMM, but now I might have to go to NYC for work, and miss the show entirely this year.

Looks pretty cool, though.

that's cool...just hoping you had some firsthand insider knowledge or something since you were one of the early adapters.

me neither, behindy. finally i will have all the weapons i need to defeat the evil soundmen who would deny me a cab mic and make me sound like marcus miller in the pa. love marcus...amazing player and generally all-around nice guy...but that treble! and yet so many soundmen i work with think that's the exact sound i should have.
