NIN Melbourne Show

WOW!!!!

Dude - I will start by saying that I am not a massive NIN fan, I have a few albums and rarely listen to them. Half of the reason I was going was to check out your playing and sound.

Boy oh boy!! Your bass sounds amazing...all of them. I love that Fuzzy/OD sound with the thunderbird the most, but it was all great!! That is the kind of sound I want to hear coming out of my rig!

And I was talking to some mates after the show, and I think I will have to be pulling out those NIN albums again, because the whole show was freakin' amazing!!

Oh - and what was with the tossing of the Jag (i think it was? Hard to see from the back) about halfway through? Just part of the show or what?

Thanks to both of you!

No, throwing one of my basses was not part of the show. ;-) Yet it happened, nonetheless.

This lineup and style of stage show with NIN has brought out a predilection for a bit of chaos. So be it.

All the best,
JMJ

Agreed. I have never loved Burn before, but that might have converted me.

While I am never a fan of instruments getting broken (my thought is always "God damn, I could use that bass!), I am still happy that NIN seem to have gone back to the unpredictable chaotic form that I never got to experience live before.
I also really have my fingers crossed that the band isn't worn out and lose the edge by the time I get to see them.

wow that footage is so cool.

I had a great night but the highlight for me was the joy division song 'dead souls'...so good.

But yeah i got a spot not far from you justin, was mike the guy handing you guitars? or the black haired dude crouching behind your ampeg fridges?

And buying/picking up tickets through NIN.com was so effortless and they are a cool souvenir too.

Thanks, y'all. Yeah Dead Souls is quite a rare one, that was fun busting it out.

Mike has bright red hair and a goatee, he's my tech - the one handing me my guitars.
