Hey Justin,
NIN show in Auckland has just been announced....currently the most anticipated show of the summer for me. It'll be in a lovely new-ish arena with mint facilities so hopefully you'll enjoy it.
Hopefully you get to spend a couple of days in New Zealand too....legendary place.
That is all.

It was one of the greatest experiences I ever had. Beautiful sights, deep blue oceans, lush green mountains covered with sheep and cattle, bright orange egg yolks instead of this dull pasty yellow we get here, etc. The only thing that sucked was there were no Taco Bells. Can't wait to go back! |

| | | | Machell, yes: we're excited about NZ. I have a half sister and all her family in Auckland as well as lots of friends, so I'm thrilled to get back there, haven't been since '03. I do believe a day off or two is in order as well!

NIN was always a band I was aware of, but never really checked out until Justin joined.. since then, i've kinda gone NIN nuts!
Hope you have a great gig... I'm sure NZ will treat you kindly!

| | | Glad you liked, at least to a degree, eh? I love "it was awesome", and then followed by "...parts...weren't particularly good".
I had a very enjoyable time, overall It was a strong beginning. We have confidence, and will continue to finesse. Our list of notes is long, but that's what one does after opening night. All good.
Oh - Geddy? Yeah, most of the same stuff, but some new programming, and an improved version of the Palmer speaker simulator. Also the addition of two SVT-810AV cabs. I'm feeling it now. Oh - and six new pedals in the mix, too.

I was stunned when I found out the new drummer is only a year older then me.
Care to share what the six new pedals are?

Totally blew my socks off man... The fact you guys pulled that off as a 4 piece was mental (especially seeing Trent dive from stage centre to keyboard and back again) and that new young fella on the drums was pretty alright too... Hope the rest of the tour goes well man.
Thank you.

I have never heard of TGD before (made me laugh when I read that stood for The Great Destroyer...seems very appropriate) but I was watching some videos that demo it. Very cool.
And yes - pictures would probably be very appreciated by everybody!
A question about the show, if I may. On Head Like A Hole, who is playing synth? From this video ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=91wpR5N4d_0) it seems like nobody is, but it can be heard fairly clearly. Do you guys play with pre-recorded samples or am I missing something from view?

| | | | Bit Mangler's great if you like to melt speakers and bum out your band mates.
Head Like a Hole: That's a song which has always had the synth line on a backing. It has to sound sequenced.
THank you Kiljoy.
Best,
JMJ
