| | | I like cycling, baseball, cooking, travel. But my main hobby and profession is music, and all its ancillary activities (like buying gear, and always having to learn new software).

| | | | my style of cooking? BASICS. How to properly prepare things. Literally! That's what interests me a great deal. Sautee, parboil, fry, bake, broil, poach, grill, grind, cut, chop, mince, dice, etc. etc. And how to do it all without f*$#ing up. That's the phase I'm at....kinda like playing whole notes with the metronome at 120BPM.
Software I'm getting up to speed on right now: Native Maschine, Logic 8, Ableton Live 7.
Best,
JMJ

Best,
JMJ | Ha, I read your first post and was going to follow up with asking what software you're currently toying around with. Are you using Live 7 for production work? For some reason I just haven't figured that one out yet. Logic is killer though, gotta love it!
EDIT: Oh yeah, did you ever get a bike for the tour? Remember reading that somewhere. |

| | | | Yeah, Live 7 more for songwriting, actually. Logic 8 is just beautiful. Can't get over just how good everything sounds internally.
I regrettably brought my Santa Cruz Superlight on tour, it's a full suspension MTB. The problem is, at the last day of rehearsal, our backline truck showed up, and Trent, myself, our production manager and our assistant Leo all put our bikes in the truck, mounted on hooks on crossbars from the sides. Anyway, I say regrettably because the top tube got big time scratched and gouged. Bummer!!! And everyone else's did as well, various "injuries" from the 5 day trek across to South Florida. BUT: it's great having it out.
