Pedal question

Sign in to disble this ad
This seems popping up so I figured I'd slate my question in and make a thread where you can continue the discussion, the "Justin's gear" one is a bid smothered and hard to search!
In any case, I wanted to check what (if anything) you thought of the Fulltone Bass Drive?
I just got one, and am pretty stoked by what I'm getting, I can kinda see it replacing a couple pedals I have on my board, so I wanted to see if you had any insight/input or experiences?

I used an old one that I thought was light on the bottom, so I wasn't very stoked on it. That was a long time back. Did it seem to have enough low end for you?

I heard a lot about that to be honest, and was pretty worried by it, but the tone knob really does do a world of difference!
If you dont go too far on the "sparkle" side of things, you're safe to keep it running, I don't see it losing more low end than the GT2 for instance!
What I like most about it is the versatility where I can get tones more similar to tubes breaking up (where my mesa m-pulse doesn't shine), to full on drives that seem to be useful in a live setting!
Going to take it on a recording session in a week or so and I'll se how it works in the studio!
To be honest, a chat with Ben Kenney got me stoked on the pedal, and it seems to work great when I use my p-bass with flats especially, cause of the presence in the mids!
so I'm pretty happy so far!
maybe give it a try if you come across it again some time!

I hope this doesn't violate any rules...
I got to demo a drive from DMB pedals, a local guy,
