Pressurewounds

Forgive me if this topic has been covered, but I saw your video on D'Addario strings, and I was wondering if you have any experience using pressurewound strings.

I'm looking for something with a good amount of low/mid presence with not too much top-end. I'm using a P Bass and I'm not doing any slapping... just general fingerstyle pop/rock stuff.

Yeah, I have half-rounds on a few...a Mustang and an old Guild. Dope!

I’ll chime in with an unwanted opinion and 2nd that D’Addario half-wounds are, indeed, quite dope.

I have a P set up with them, (a Mustang would also be pretty sweet… Hmm. Darn you for reminding me of the great used one I found at a shop the other day, JMJ…) and what I like is that I can get some great thumpy finger tone with the tone rolled down a little bit similar to what I like about flats, but still have some zing if I have it wide open and play with a pick.
