A question(s) about a session

Im really curious about the Mars Volta experience.. were you surprised they asked for the Double Bass? Also did the guys preview some other tracks for you, or did you record Televators before Flea was in the studio?
I personally think you would of kicked some serious booty playing on the other tracks as well, though this particular CD has some of my favorite bass playing from Flea.

I did play on some other stuff that I suppose never came out, it's not songs on the record. But it was all upright stuff, not electric. I think I did my stuff after Flea did his whole thing.
