| Being in a way competitive is helpful, honestly. When I see a band with a sick-ass bass player, I get stoked, and want to up my game. That is what has always kept me going in terms of just bass. In terms of the greater landscape of being a musician, it's really just hearing or seeing great things, or even being inspired by other arts.
