Hey dude, I saw you side of stage at Sonisphere and it was amazing, I probably didn't get the full show experience but it was a a buzz seeing you guys play that close!

I'm going to pick up the bow with my upright as well, your bass sounded awesome!

Why thanks! So glad to hear all that.

We all savored the tension and quiet created by our unorthodox setlist. I think the lion's share of the audience were expecting either wall-to-wall rock and/or a hits-orientated setlist from us; something that would "compete" against Limp Bizkit and Metallica. Obviously we decided to go quite the contrary and do something a bit riskier, acting as the "apertif" if you will.

The overall attentiveness and calm that we were rewarded with was remarkable.

This now brings to mind something that we could start a thread about sometime: writing setlists. Could be a very interesting discussion, eh?

Best,
JMJ

I would'Ve loved to be there. On the two gigs i've seen of you this tour (southside Festival and budapest) the most exciting song for me was "Gone, still".

Writng setlists! the bane of my bands life at the moment, having only one album of ten songs it's a hard one to keep fresh and new! I guess you just need to take risks sometimes and hopefully they will pay off!

It's awesome that guys thought about your set list in that way! It was almost like the eerie calm before the storm! It would've never crossed my mind, always learn something new from your forum!

liquid dream: Gone still is a fave for all of us, including TR...and he usually walks to the back of the stage for a break while we play it.

attack: yes, the 10 song thing is tough, you just gotta barrel through and remember not to have more than one "dip" in there, obviously. But yes, we took a risk at Sonisphere, and it paid off. We had a lot of people worried, and I certainly was mentally preparing myself for a plastic bottle of piss to come flying through the air and land on my keyboard or my upright bass. No such luck, it all went according to plan.

I flew over Sonisphere on the way back to Luton airport from Poland. Sadly, from 5000 feet I didn't get to hear any of it

Next time...
