Starfire bass

Justin,
I remind a nice picture of you and your Guild Starfire bass. Guess it was a mid '90 reissue.
I recently purchased a Korean version of the Starfire, under De Armond brand name.
Would appreciate to understand from your side which strings do you use on your Starfire and if you recorder some songs with this bass. Would check the sound on the record.

Strings: D'Addario Chromes, medium.

Records: Dido's last one, Goldfrapp "Seventh Tree", Air "10,000Hz legend", Beck "Mutations", "Midnite Vultures", "Sea Change", "Guero", "THe Information", Peter Walker "Landed", Pete Francis' new album, Corey Chisel's last album, Ocean's 13 movie score, etc.

LaBella Nylons would be a good choice too but I don't know of specific recordings.

JMJ, how often on your SF do you use the neck pickup alone compared to the neck+bridge setup?
I'm thinking about getting myself a SF, but the 2 pickups version seems quite rare.
