Three things:

- My daughter started Kindergarten today. Emotional for me, and a thrill for her.

- Acknowledgment for a LOT of very hard work: http://livedesignonline.com/projects...ncert-designs/

- I got THREE deliveries of pedals today: one Fedex, one UPS, one USPS. That's a pretty damn good day.

Best,
JMJ

Pearl TH-20 Thriller (notch filter)
Line 6 Echo Park (I like this 70% as much as my Empress Superdelay, but way handier)
Copilot FX Orbit (more noize)
Catalinbread Heliotrope (ring & noize)
Digitech DigiVerb (a surprise - has some kinda unique tricks)

way to go for the nin kudos, but it bums me out they chose the elo tour to be in there. well over half of their set on that tour was lip synching to the recording, and then they'd fade in the band playing at the end of the song so the fade out ending wasn't so obvious. but it was blatantly obvious. still, at least they had the good sense to include you guys...that really was a beautiful set with a lot of amazing things to watch.

and congrats to your daughter for starting kindergarten today! that's a big moment in a kid's life.

Congrats on the first day of K for your little one! I know where you're coming from---my son just started too. Almost hard to fathom that person with the backpack is my kid. Kinda sneaks up on ya!

Nice!! I loved kindergarten. Just enough learning and show and tell, balanced out by racing trikes around the course out back of the classroom.

We're two years away from kindergarten with our oldest but man it seems like they go from infants to little people way too fast. I saw that tour. The props are absolutely deserved.

  • Haven't tried the Pearl.
  • I had both the Empress and Echo Park at the same time (I bought the Empress 2nd) and they aren't nearly as far apart as price tags would indicate. But the Superdelay has significantly less noise and it did enough extra for me to justify keeping it. Still, the Echo Park is underrated IMO.
  • Love the Orbit and Heliotrope. Noisemakers sure, but usuable noisemakers.
  • The Digitech is a bit of a tone sucker, but the gated and reverse modes are worth the price of admission

I wish that tour had come to Australia... though I did see NIN in Brisbane in 2007 and again at Soundwave, so awesome. And Robin's guitar sound was MASSIVE... you already know how good your tone is so I don't need to say any more
