Right now the pickups are stock Geddy's with creme covers but I have a creme Ultra Jazz set on the way.
Nice work! |

Where do you get the pickguard JMJ has? is is gloss of satin?
And I also want to upgrade the tuners and add a Drop D tuner. Any suggestions?
1 more ?
Did you guys or JMJ upgrade the pots or anything else? |

Did you guys or JMJ upgrade the pots or anything else? | The Model number is the Dimarzio DP123. I upgraded my volume pots to 500K CTS to bring in a little more of the twang that the pickup upgrade took out. It was a personal preference on my part, however, the Dimarzios sound fantastic with the stock electronics. They're just a little "darker sounding" due to them being a humbucking pickup.

Joking aside Justin, if Fender (or any company) approached you about a sig bass, what would it be? Model? Color? Mods? Maybe we should start sending emails to Fender.
Vegas532, how big of a difference do the 500K volume pots make? I have a Jazz with Model Js, but I have 250K pots. I was thinking of switching to 500K to brighten it up a bit. Is it worth the upgrade? |

(The J/J ones and not the P/J custom shop, obviously.) I've been really liking mine for a while, especially with the "balls" switch on, but it can be kind of noisy in clubs, and who knows... Maybe I'd like it even more with some DiMs or Aguilars in it.
(I also kind of wish I didn't get it in red too... It looks cool, and it was real sexy when I was doing the chick country singer gig that I bought it for originally, but I kind of wish I bought black. I'm just not a "red guitar" guy!!)
