Thumbs up 2007 Bernard Walke Snakewood French Bow Photos!

These are a few shots of my 141g Snakewood French bow made by Bernard Walke of Ottawa. It was completed in January of 2007, I really adore the sound of this bow. Here are some snaps!

Looking nice! How does it compare to your previous bows?

It's a really great sounding bow. I've had it for a year now. Snakewood is a very stiff and dense material, and it also has wonderful acoustic properties. It has by far the most "tone" compared to my previous Reid Hudson (which was also a great bow).

How I would describe it.

Lots of fundamental and very bright sounding.

Eventually when I'm a professional I think i'll go back to Pernambuco because they're a more flexible type of wood but I chose Snakewood because it has forced my arm to relax when playing and to really not overuse muscles not needed.
