3/4 bow on a 4/4?

Hi.
I bought an EUB and I'd like to give a try to bowing it.
I took lessons playing the double bass before but never bowed.
My bass is a 4/4. I can get a killer deal on a good french style bow, brazilwood, good stuff but it's a 3/4.
Would it be a mistake to get it or is it ok?

3/4 or 4/4 is relatively meaningless in the world of bows unless of course we're talking about bows made for younger students. See if you can try the bow and that your teacher approves of it before you make a decision. The 3/4ness of the bow probably won't be an issue, but there could be other issues with the bow.
