Question Andrea Rosin?

I was shopping for strings the other day and was on
QuinnViolin's web site, I noticed this rosin they have
called Andrea, although it seems to be more violin
oriented, there is a bass rosin. Stuff looks cool but
is VERY expensive ($35)! Its by the same maker
as Tartini, another expensive rosin that I'm not
familiar with.

Just curious....

I'm responding to this to bump it back up. I've seen this rosin on some online shops. I can't imagine it being so great to justify the high price.

If anyone has a review, I'm interested, as well.

You could by 3 things of Nyman's for 35 bones. You do the math on Pop's. Yikes. I wonder if Mr. Andrea climbs a mountain, pokes a tree, and watches $35 rosin slowly drip out.

Thumbs down Tried it...

Well, a couple weeks back I ended up leaving my bow case
in my car after dropping my bass off at the luthier, it
destroyed my cake of Oak rosin

Since I needed to get something and no one has ever
really responded to this I couldn't resist, I ordered some
of the 'Alex' bass rosin...

I've used it at a couple rehearsals now, and this stuff is
the worst powdering rosin I've ever seen It coats the
strings with white powder very quickly.

Yes, it sounds pretty smooth (it should with all that coating
on the strings ), and it has a really cool case that holds
it, but I just can't stand the mess it makes.

Sigh, just wish I could have learned this without spending
the money Oak is also a dry rosin and powders on the
strings, but not this badly, I plan on going back to it.
